Rated 4 out of 5 by from Should be named "Dried Lavender & Cedarwood" This candle has an amazing scent cold. Just smelling it in the jar made me want to light it. The initial fragrance was simply lavender, so I wanted to see if burning the candle would produce a plethora of other scents besides the top note. After an hour of burn, I started to pick up more of the top and base notes. This candle gave off a sweet, earthy, smoky, lavender smell that is very light, floral, and pleasant. This candle has a great slow burn and hot throw. My living room and kitchen smell fantastic. The only thing I was concerned about was how the candle takes longer to get to some edges and the confusion behind the name. Just like with another candle I reviewed, after a few hours of burn the melt pool of the wax is inconsistent. There are three tiny mounds of unmelted wax on the edges which, over time, will cause the candle to dip in the middle and not melt properly. Second, the name of this candle is confusing. Though I did smell notes of bergamot and patchouli, I was confused by how the candle is named "oak" yet oak is not a fragrance note on the website. If anything, this candle should be called Dried Lavender and Cedarwood, since cedarwood was listed as a scent. Also, I was confused by what type of oak scent was used. The reason is, that white and red oak have very distinct scents. White oak has a sweet vanilla scent, while red oak smells like vinegar when burned. It's not pleasant at all. I guess this candle was manufactured to smell like oak considering vanilla was an added fragrance note? Or maybe vanilla was added to compliment the lavender? I'm not sure. Either way, this candle smells amazing and I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite! This one turned out to be my favorite of the 4 that I selected. I love lavender but was not familiar with oak moss. I can't get enough of it, the scent is perfect. I wouldn't say that it smelled like any lavender scented fragrance I have ever smelled, it's a little creamy, very soothing, and the oak moss is probably the stronger note. It smells very woodsy, a little earthy, and just very nice. This jar candle has 3 wicks and it burns very cleanly. The throw is so-so - I burn the candles in my bedroom and the scent is perfectly strong in my bedroom but I don't notice the scent in other areas of the house. I absolutely love this scent.
